The new face of modern art stands for convention above all else. Innovators are shuttled into prefabricated pigeonholes, establishing and reinforcing boundaries as they "push the envelope" ; the avant garde whom no one dare surpass. In the bodies of work produced but underrepresented by cutting edge artists, in the hearts and minds and closets of artists denied the spotlight the arsenal of artists from whom we thought we'd seen it all because they refuse to pull any punches, resides the best art never seen. They are the scream that must be heard, the flash which blinds, and must be witnessed.

METROPOLIS APOCALYPSE (L. E. S. Riot Era Artists 1988-2008) in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Tompkins Square Park Riots. With recent input from Genesis P-Orridge ,is dedicated to the loving memory of LADY JAYE BREYER P-ORRIDGE . METROPOLIS APOCALYPSE reflects the continuing struggle against gentrification spearheaded by a generation of artists and musicians on Manhattan's Lower East Side. **************************************************************************** JohnnyV has been at the artistic and political forefront in New York City, most notably for his involvement in the underground Squatter/Punk movement.
